Terms of Service.

LIVE DOT ("the Service") is a product of TruLight Studio LLC, a limited liability company registered in Washington, USA ("TruLight Studio", "we", "us"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of these terms.

LIVE DOT lets you create and manage QR codes:

• Dynamic codes point to a short livedot.app link. You can change where they go after printing, and we count their scans.
• Static codes contain their content directly. They can't be changed or tracked, and keep working without LIVE DOT.

You can style codes with colours, patterns, frames and logos, and export them as PNG, SVG, JPEG or PDF.

• You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live if you buy Pro.
• Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date; we use it for password resets and billing notices.
• Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and should tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
• If you sign up for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

Free includes 2 dynamic and 5 static QR codes, standard designs, scan tracking on dynamic codes, and all export formats.

Pro costs $9.99 USD per month before sales tax and includes unlimited dynamic and static codes, gradient patterns and premium frames, full analytics, and priority support. Pro is for one account, and is currently only available to customers in the United States with a US billing address and payment card. The Free plan is available everywhere.

The current plans and prices are always shown on our pricing section. We may change what each plan includes; we won't reduce what you've paid for during a billing period you've already paid.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. You are billed by TruLight Studio, and charges show as TRULIGHT LIVEDOT on your statement.
• Pro is billed monthly, in advance, and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Prices don't include tax. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies, based on your billing address.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still can't be collected, your account moves to Free (see section 7).
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your subscription. You can cancel before it takes effect.

• You can cancel any time from Settings → Plan & billing → Manage subscription. You won't be charged again.
• After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then your account moves to Free.
• We don't offer refunds, including partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires them.
• Cancelling doesn't delete your account or your QR codes.

Example: if you subscribe on March 1 and cancel on March 15, you keep Pro until March 31 and aren't charged on April 1.

• Nothing is deleted. Codes within the Free limits (your 2 most recent dynamic and 5 most recent static codes) keep working.
• Codes beyond those limits are paused. Scanning a paused dynamic code shows a "not available" page instead of its destination.
• Upgrading to Pro again reactivates every paused code.
• You can still see analytics for all your codes.

You own what you put into LIVE DOT: the content of your codes, your uploads and your designs. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the Service, for example to show your scan pages to people who scan your codes.

You're responsible for your content and where your codes lead, and you confirm you have the right to use it.

Don't use LIVE DOT to:

• link to or host anything illegal, fraudulent or harmful, including phishing pages and malware,
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights,
• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone,
• send spam,
• disrupt the Service, get around plan limits, or access parts of it you aren't allowed to.

If a code breaks these rules, we may disable it or redirect it to a notice page, and we may suspend the account.

We work to keep LIVE DOT running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Dynamic codes redirect through livedot.app, so they won't work while the Service is down. Static codes are unaffected. We aren't responsible for outages at the providers we rely on.

You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact form. Closing it cancels any Pro subscription and permanently deletes your codes, uploads and scan data, so any printed dynamic codes will stop working.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, are used for fraud or illegal activity, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, TruLight Studio isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, or for how other people use codes you create. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived (including, in the EU, EEA and UK, your statutory rights when digital services aren't as described).

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using LIVE DOT after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel and close your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. If we can't, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington.

If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these terms to someone else without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.
